Jo’s Marathon Blog – week 5!

Week 5 was my most intense week so far. I had Monday as a rest day but ran the rest of the week - clocking up over 30 miles in 6 days for the first time ever! My Tuesday Group run was supplemented by an additional 1.5 miles on my own afterwards, which started quite normally, but ended up being one of my fastest miles for a long time! Felt pretty epic (and sweaty!!) by the time I reached Simon in Seaclose Park, and was even tempted to join the small group of IOW Road Runners we met there, as they paused before their final 1 mile hill rep... hunger and tiredness won out though! The way I felt that night - elated and really buoyed up by the endorphins…
